Hello, I'm Jean Watson, owner and photographer for Nana's Nature Photos. I was born and raised in Newbern, Alabama; I graduated from Southern Academy in Greensboro, Alabama and Judson College in Marion, Alabama. I taught high school science, especially Biology-related subjects for thirty years before retiring to our catfish farm in Newbern. Now I keep books for B and J Catfish Farm, Inc. and have recently started a small photography business called Nana's Nature Photos. I'm married and have two sons and three grandchildren (hence the name Nana).
Photography has been my hobby and passion for as long as I can remember; I'm particularly interested in nature photography because of my teaching career. I photograph nature and historical buildings - everything from the tiniest insect to the largest elephant; seeds to flowers; architectural details to entire structures. My photographs are as local as my front yard and as exotic as Kenya in eastern Africa. Besides photography my hobbies also include hunting and fishing as is evidenced by the subjects I choose to photograph.
Please stop to enjoy my web site and if you find a photograph or set of notecards that you particularly like, make a purchase.
